Our Concord behavioral health agency provides urban families residing in the area with mental health programs and services including Child and Family Services – Out Patient (CFS-OP). 

We provide community-based mental health services, substance abuse, and related services for individuals with learning and developmental disabilities.

Mountain Valley Child and Family Services (MVCFS) provides Medi-Cal Services as defined in Title 9 of the California Code of Regulations. MVCFS makes available the following mental health treatment services seven days per week according to the children’s treatment plans:

  • Family Therapy
  • Specialty Mental Health Services
  • Intensive Care Coordination (ICC)
  • Intensive Home-Based Services (IHBS)
  • Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)
  • Targeted Case Management

MVCFS mental health services are offered to all children to meet assessed needs. MVCFS maintains Medi-Cal certifications through Nevada County, Sacramento County and Contra Costa County Departments of Mental Health. The services below reflect the Contra Costa services that are provided through community-based services.

All clients who meet medical necessity as determined by their placing county and state regulations are eligible to receive specialty mental health services through MVCFS.
